Jim Driscoll will continue to work to develop public safety services to address what matters to people in our Communities. As Sheriff, he is committed to staying current and engaged in law enforcement issues that affect our Communities.

Jim has extensive EXPERIENCE in the operations, supervision, management & administration of the duties and responsibilities of the Office of Sheriff. He has extensive experience working with local, state and federal leaders to build relations and advocate for the public safety needs of the people in Coconino County. Jim has managed critical incidents for missing children, manhunts, responses to natural disasters and much more.

He is committed to the development of staff and employees who are professional, well-trained, and properly equipped.

As Sheriff, he continues to provide leadership that engages the community and develops partnerships that enhance the quality of life for people in Coconino County.

Jim Driscoll will continue to enhance partnerships, programs and services to create safer COMMUNITIES and provide professional public safety services throughout Coconino County.

Examples include the Sheriff's Office Community Policing Program and other volunteer opportunities, Community Emergency Response Teams, public Situational Awareness and Active Shooter classes, a solvent Jail District that serves the county, Exodus inmate substance abuse treatment program and Job Skills training to break cycles of recidivism, progressive Search and Rescue facility and equipment, technology enhancements such as Mobile Data Computers and criminal justice information sharing systems, online public information resources such as Offender Watch, body cameras, Mental Health First Aid training for first responders, professional training standards for employees agency wide, interagency agreements to enhance resources and services, and many other partnerships, programs, and services.
